Putti /ˈput.ti/

One Putti, many Putti, no relation to that Valentine’s Day cherub. Embodiments of happiness, all Putti want to do is bring smiles. Inspired by the alebrijes of Mexico and folk art totems from various cultures said to bring fortune, Putti are meant to be placed in areas where you could use some good vibes. They exist purely to bring joy to others and believe you should too. Do like Putti do and gather in groups for the best results when it comes to life.

About

The heart of the matter

As somebody who was affected by the Cedar Fire, leaning into my creativity while giving back to areas that have been severely affected by wildfires has always been a goal of mine. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but studied graphic design and stayed with my aunt in San Diego in 2003 when her home went up in flames along with most of my possessions. Although we all evacuated safely, as many who have been affected have discovered, it’s the recovery after the fires that hits the hardest. Communities get displaced, new identities need to be built from the ground up, and “home” becomes wherever your loved ones are.

That’s why at least 10% of net proceeds from each purchase will be donated to continuing fire relief efforts on Maui as well as Los Angeles via our partnerships with Hawai‘i Community Foundation – Maui Strong Fund and Habitat for Humanity, Greater Los Angeles.

I’ve been painting these winged spirits since 2005, two years after the Cedar Fire. I hope they bring you as much joy as they have brought me.
